F51 Stainless Steel Characteristics:
Duplex stainless steel.22% chromium biphase (austenite/ferritic) steel (type 2205), with moderate strength to high strength and good resistance to normal corrosion/stress, corrosion/cracking.
The alloy has the capability of withstanding chloride environment and sulfide stress corrosion, which is about twice the strength of standard austenitic stainless steel.
For higher mechanical strength/lighter weight, the alloy can be successfully used as a 300 series alternative to austenitic stainless steel.
F51 is easy to use many standard arc welding equipment for welding, but it is not recommended for welding of oxygen b block, because of the possibility of the welding of metal.
